AMCOR MEETS NAHTTF

The Defence Ministry’s coordinating committee members of NAHTTF held another meeting with the representatives from the Association of Mobilizing Community Resources (AMCOR) on September 16th, 2022. Mr. Paramasivam Muralitharan, Head of Mission; KDN Pushpakumara Perera, Finance Director; Mr. Yoganathan Shivayogarajan, Senior Programme Manager; Mr. H.G. Sarath Pallegama, Project Officer; and Ms. Jesuretnam Suthath Ratneswary, Programme Officer, represented AMCOR and discussion was based on their two-year Anti-Human Trafficking Project in Monaragala and the way forward.

In order to combat against Trafficking in Persons (TIP), AMCOR implements projects in Trincomalee with the funding assistance of IOM and collaborates with the National Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force. AMCOR is also expanding this project to Monaragala district with the funding assistance from another donor called “Sure Call – Canada”.
