REPRESENTATIVES FROM VOM MEETS NAHTTF

Ms. Dilshani Nugawela, Coordinator of the Voice of Migrants (VoM) Network and Mr. Manjula Widanagama, Programme Officer, again visited the Defence Ministry and shared their developed Programme Implementation Plan with the NAHTTF coordinating committee members on September 16th, 2022.

VOM members (Migrant Societies, Trade Unions and Civil Society Organizations) have been conducted certain amount of analysis regarding the labor migration industry in Sri Lanka within last decade and based on past experience and knowledge about the industry, VOM has decided to work together for develop the labor migration industry in Sri Lanka. The aim of this plan is to ensure the decent work for migrant workers and ensure the well-being of the families left-behind.
