A NAHTTF meeting was held with the representatives from Save the Children Organization to discuss activities under the project of Strengthening Government and CSOs’ Capacity to Combat Trafficking in Persons and Create Greater Impact (IMPACT) at the Ministry of Defence on 17th August 2022.
On behalf of the Secretary Defence and Chairman of the NAHTTF, Major General JR Kulatunga (Retd), the Chief of National Intelligence, presided over the meeting and participated members of the NAHTTF and Ms. Buddhini Withana-Senior Technical Advisor (Child Protection and Child Rights in Business) and Ms.Sushetha Gopallawa-Senior Manager (Counter Trafficking) from the Save the Children Organization.
With funding support from the United States Department of State’s Office to monitor combat trafficking in persons (J/TIP), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) implementing this three-year project with the support of NAHTTF and four other Civil Society Organizations including Save the Children Organization in Sri Lanka.
