HONOURED TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE SOUTH ASIA REGIONAL MEETING ON THE PROTECTION OF VICTIMS AND WITNESSES OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING WITHIN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROCESS, HELD IN NAGARKOT, NEPAL

The UNODC - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, in collaboration with the European Union, convened the South Asia Regional Meeting on the Protection of Victims and Witnesses of Human Trafficking within the Criminal Justice Process. The meeting was held in Nagarkot, Nepal, on 21–22 May 2026.

Public officials and civil society representatives from Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan, and Bangladesh participated in the event. Officials of Sri Lanka’s National Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force also took part, contributing insights and expertise drawn from their experience.
