WORKSHOP ON COUNTERING CHILD TRAFFICKING FOR CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS (CSO)-IMPACT PROJECT-ACTIVITY 3.8

Save the Children is one of the implement partners of the IMPACT project and conducted a Workshop on Countering Child Trafficking for CSOs on 7-8 September 2022 at the Radisson Hotel, Colombo 4. The resource persons for the workshop were Ms. Preethika Sakalasooriya, Director/Legal, Mr. Lakmal Ponnamperuma, Director/Clinical Psychologist (Psychosocial), and Mr. Dimuthu Gallappatti, Assistant Director/Planning of the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA).

The IMPACT Project of IOM aims at empowering local government stakeholders and community members (including non-government organizations and community-based organizations) on Trafficking in Persons (TIP) at local levels through building their capacity to identity all forms of victims of trafficking, including child victims of trafficking and provide effective protection; and to increase understanding and reporting of TIP cases.
